Plain-language summary: we use personal information to respond to enquiries, deliver agreed work, operate this website safely, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers on this site at publication.
1. Who we are
Etkahn is a business technology consultancy serving organisations in Pakistan and internationally. In this policy, “Etkahn”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Etkahn as the organisation responsible for the personal information described here.
2. Information we may collect
Information you provide
- Your name, business name, job title, email address, telephone number, and preferred contact details.
- Information in an enquiry, email, call, meeting, proposal, contract, support request, or project brief.
- Billing, transaction, and tax-related information needed to administer an engagement. Payment card details are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not intentionally stored on this website.
- Project information, documents, user accounts, or datasets you choose to share so we can deliver agreed services.
Information collected when you use the site
Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical logs such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referral information, timestamps, and security events. This site does not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking at publication. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
The service shop uses browser local storage to remember package selections on your device. Cart contents are not sent to Etkahn merely because you add a package. Checkout details are prepared in your email application and are received by Etkahn only if you choose to send that email. You can remove cart data with the “Clear cart” control or by clearing site data in your browser.
3. How we use information
- To answer enquiries, arrange calls, and prepare proposals.
- To enter into and deliver contracts, projects, training, support, and ongoing services.
- To administer accounts, invoices, payments, records, and customer relationships.
- To protect the website, our systems, our clients, and others from misuse or security threats.
- To improve our services, internal processes, and communications using aggregated or appropriately limited information.
- To meet accounting, tax, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and other legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate business interests that do not override your rights, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. When information is shared
We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:
- Hosting, communications, productivity, payment, accounting, and security providers working for us.
- Specialist collaborators or subcontractors involved in an engagement, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-handling duties.
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts, or law-enforcement bodies where necessary or legally required.
- A successor organisation in a genuine merger, acquisition, financing, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not allow service providers to use project information for their own advertising.
5. International processing
Some clients and service providers operate in other countries. Information may therefore be processed outside the country where it was collected. When this happens, we use contractual, organisational, and technical measures appropriate to the information and applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including the life of a client relationship and any period required for legal, tax, security, backup, or dispute-resolution needs. Retention depends on the information: an unanswered enquiry is normally kept for less time than a contract, invoice, or project record. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
We use proportionate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or highly sensitive data by ordinary email.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also opt out of non-essential marketing at any time. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law or a continuing legitimate need requires it.
Send a request to hello@etkahn.com. You may also contact the relevant data-protection or consumer authority in your jurisdiction.
9. Children and external links
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. The site may link to third-party websites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal obligations. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably practical.
